A note from Hank and Shay

Hi Julie...Okay, you have to admit he is the cutest dog in the world!!
Really! The best part is that he is not only beautiful on the outside but
also on the inside. At almost 6 months old, I swear he has the world
figured out already, at least HIS world! He has very high prey drive and is
scary fast for his age! He scrambles after a fleeing toy and will stop at
nothing....I mean NOTHING...until he gets it. He does know his
limits...thank goodness...It's fun to watch him as he grows. We are always
encouraging him to try different things and he knows what he is ready for
and what he isn't, and I trust his judgment which has always proven to be
true. What his is NOT ready to try on one day/week, he is ready the next.
Even when he sees Annie climbing trees/limbs and jumping streams on our
hikes he just watches, but I know soon he will be right on her heals. He is
the easiest most fun puppy I have ever had. ===== I think I will be
neutering him in January. His little balls have dropped and he is starting
to do "little boy" things like....getting excited (visually) about little
girl dogs and marking after Annie pees. I'm hoping you agree about the
timing of the neuter? A lot of people have different ideas about the timing.
======I have had a terrible cold this past week and have been watching tv
and one of the things I've been watching is the weather channel and I swear
your state looks to be having the worst weather!! We have had 2 really cold
days this last week and I would tell you about them, but you would just
laugh. Even on one of the two days we had about one minute of snow!! It was
FABULOUS! But even during that one minute of snow we still had sunshine
over one shoulder as we watched the snow fall over the other...weird, but
true. If the weather is as bad as it looks there, I'm thinking you guys need
to head out here! I don't know how you manage with all your animals?!
Well, enjoy Hank's picture and I'll send more later! Hugs all around.
Hanks sends lots of love and warmth to his Michigan family over these winter
days.
